My product has melted or become liquid. Help!

Our butters are all naturally made without any emollients or preservatives, so they are temperature-sensitive and may melt in hot weather or harden up in cold weather. We never know how long the packages sit in hot delivery trucks or on hot porches or mailboxes. If you receive melted butter, place it in the refrigerator for a couple hours to harden back up, then leave it at room temperature for it to soften. The benefits will be the same, but the texture may be a little different, sometimes even a little grainy, but it will melt into the skin when massaged.

What products are safe to use during pregnancy?

All Skin and Senses products are safe to use while pregnant. Vitamin A is present in trace amounts in our Timeless face cream. If your skin is sensitive, particularly during pregnancy, it is advised that you stop using our Timeless face cream during pregnancy. Try our fearless mama belly butters today.

Where are Skin and Senses products made?

All of our skincare products are made in California using globally sourced ingredients!

My order is over $75; why am I being charged for shipping?

Orders that total (after discounts and promotional codes have been applied) $75 and above will qualify for free standard shipping. Orders that fall below the $75 subtotal threshold will automatically add a shipping charge. Before reaching out, please make sure you are not using a code that brings your total below $75. If your order subtotal is over $75 and you are still being asked to pay shipping, please reach out to our team at customerservice@skinanndsenses.com.

Can I use more than one promotional code on an order?

Only one promotional code can be used on an order. Free ground shipping for orders $75 and over will be calculated after discounts from promotional codes are applied.

Do I need to wash off the Fearless Mama Butter off my breasts before breastfeeding?

There is no need to wash off fragrance-free butter. If you have the scented version, I would wash it off because of the fragrance. Our Beyond Nipple Soothing Cream is also available and does not need to be wiped off.

Why aren’t all of your ingredients organic?

Basically, certain ingredients do not exist in organic form, and some ingredients are not available certified organic.

Are Skin and Senses products cruelty-free?

We do not test our products or individual ingredients on animals.

Will using an expired product harm me or my baby?

On all of our items, the best-by date acts as a recommendation for freshness, but it is not an expiration date. We preserve a sample of each batch we create to ensure the quality of our products. Some of the items in this sample inventory are more than three years old and still provide the same benefits! However, use your best judgment at all times; if anything smells "off," don't use it. Store products in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight, heat, humidity, and excess moisture to extend shelf life.

Are all of your products packaged in glass?

Most of our products are packaged in glass. To ensure bathtime safety, our body scrubs are packaged in PP jars. Our pregnancy butter jars are also PP.

Do Skin and Senses products contain preservatives?

Most of our products are waterless, so no preservative is needed. If a product contains one drop of water, even in the form of aloe vera juice, a preservative is needed to maintain freshness, guarantee shelf life, and prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and mold. For our three products that contain water, we chose our preservative based on its safety and efficacy.

Is it normal for product colors to vary from bottle to bottle?

Absolutely! We don’t use artificial colors in our products, and we do not use any color stabilizers. Any color change does not affect the quality or efficacy of the product.
